Report from Taiji: September 30 (new video)
The cove on September 30
The dolphin hunters put out to sea early this morning, but they returned empty-handed around 8:00 am. It was a good day in Taiji. It was overcast this morning then the rain came and it became a rainy day in Taiji. There have been no dolphins captured here for a full week now.
We saw the police today, but they did not engage us. We did notice that they had replaced a barricade, which had been destroyed by the waves. This is to keep everyone off of the rocks from where one could see deep into the killing cove.
During questioning yesterday the police asked me if I knew that Paul Watson was “wanted.” I said that I did not know that and they laughed saying now they do not believe anything I say. They told me the warrant is based upon Pete Bethune’s statement that Paul had instructed Pete to board the Shonan Maru No. 2. I explained that while Pete may have said that to the police, it is not accurate. Paul did not instruct Pete to take that action.

The truth is that neither Paul nor I have seen any official notice of an arrest warrant. If the police want to provide us with an official notice, then we can decide if Paul should come to Japan to answer the charges.
We need your help now more than ever. Spread the word, send donations, join in the international day of protest, and if at all possible, come join us here in Taiji. To join us (voluntarily, and completely at your own cost and risk) in Taiji, write to me at email@example.com. I will get back to you, but please be patient. I cannot keep an eye on the Cove and answer email at the same time.
