Financial information such as bank account and credit card details are used to process transactions. The information we collect is always treated as strictly confidential and is never disclosed to a third party without your prior consent, or unless required by law. We never make our database available to other organizations.

Sea Shepherd uses a third-party donation and fundraising platform hosted by Kentaa to process donations and to allow supporters to fundraise on behalf of Sea Shepherd. For the registration of your donation or fundraising page, Sea Shepherd uses the following personal data: name, address (only when making a donation), and e-mail address.

For recurring monthly donations, Sea Shepherd uses Jotform to collect your personal information for processing via PayPal including name, address, and e-mail address. Recurring payments can be cancelled anytime directly through your PayPal account settings. Any questions regarding donations can be sent to: finance@seashepherdglobal.org

If you make a donation or sign up to create a fundraising page, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. All donors using this platform for donations will also be given the option to receive the Sea Shepherd Newsletter via email. All recurring monthly donors will receive a confirmation email with an offer to choose a free tee-shirt. Your mailing address and telephone number will be used to deliver the tee-shirt.

The Sea Shepherd Global Newsletter is sent by email to those who have specifically asked to receive the newsletter, either via the form on the Sea Shepherd Global website or by marking a specific box in the confirmation window after making a donation. For delivery, Sea Shepherd only uses your email. Sea Shepherd uses SendInBlue to collect double opt-in subscriber emails, send newsletters, and manage unsubscribe requests. All email contacts for the newsletter are only stored within our SendInBlue account. There is an “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of every newsletter. Manual “unsubscribe” requests can also be sent to media@seashepherdglobal.org.
